Pierce College

OVERVIEW

Pierce College is a two-year public community college, preparing students for occupational training, transfer education and life-long learning. Each semester it has 100 disciplines being taught to more than 21,000 students.

Founded in 1947, it is located in the western San Fernando Valley, Southern California, United States.

The University offers degrees in associate’s programs. And after leaving the college, many students would transfer to the University of California system, the California State University system, and private universities to continue their education to earn bachelor’s degrees. According to a study conducted by UCLA, Pierce students graduated from UCLA with a higher GPA than students from any other transfer college.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

Applicants for the university should have graduated from high school, have successfully passed the California High School Proficiency Examination, or have received a Certificate of Completion. If applicants are under 18 years of age and not a high school student, he is required to go through special admission processing. COSTS AND FINANCIAL AID

The tuitions and fees for year 2011-2012 is USD 3,883 for students who are in state and for those who are out of state it is USD 9,118. Students spend USD 924 for books and USD 8,052 for room and board on average.

The university provides students with efficient and effective access to programs and service through personalized attention and the use of technology.
