Yale University is a private Ivy League university. ACCREDITATION

Every ten years, the university receives regional accreditation from the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC) Commission on Institutions of Higher Education (CIHE). Apart from the regional accreditation, more than 25 nationwide accrediting agencies also evaluate individual Yale schools and programs.

COSTS AND FINANCIAL AID

The tuitions and fees for year 2011-2012 is USD 40,500. Students spend USD 6,700 and 5,500 respectively for accommodation and board.

Yale University offers financial assistance (usually in the form of grants and scholarships) to half of its students. And the average scholarship for year 2011-2012 reaches $35,400.
